Sometimes love starts with fireworks… and sometimes it starts at a music festival with a few mutual acquaintances and an unexpected friendship. We met years ago, crossed paths a handful of times, and then- like life tends to do- we drifted in different directions. Cody ended up living in Arizona while Kymberly stayed in Colorado, and for a while our story paused there… waiting for its perfect moment to continue. When Cody decided to move back to Colorado, he began posting on Facebook looking for a roommate. Meanwhile, Kymberly was also ready for a change and kept seeing his posts pop up. After a few scrolls, a few “should I message him?”, and finally a brave moment of “why not?”, she reached out. And just like that, fate hit play again.

Becoming roommates turned out to be the best accidental love story either of us could’ve imagined. We moved in as friends, learned each other’s routines, kept each other company, shared meals, shared laughs, and eventually-without even trying-became each other’s favorite person. Friendship became best friendship. Best friendship became something more. And one day, we realized we weren’t just building a home together-we were building a life together. After years of finding our way back to each other, we’ve found our forever. We’ve found our safe place, our partner, our best friend…
